Tools We Use

  • Start here: Conscious Spending Plan : Free resource from Ramit Sethi. Great starting point for getting a handle on where your money is really going on a monthly/yearly basis & some helpful parameters to see if you are spending too much (or too little!)

  • Monarch (referral code, 50% off for you) : Paid (annual fee) software that integrates with all credit & debit cards and sorts them into categories. Very user-friendly & helpful for big picture “where is our money going really?”

  • Boldin : Paid (annual fee) software to track net worth and project it over a lifetime- use it to find where you are on the path to financial independence.

  • Ally Bank : Our favorite bank. Decent savings account rates and handy, very visual buckets within savings accounts to help you save for specific things. (Note: If you are currently using Wells Fargo, B of A or some other huge brick & mortar bank, please look closely at their not-so-distant past ethical practices. Pretty gross, to say the least. The switch feels hard but it isn’t. Vote with your dollars!)
